Woodland Haunted Trail Coming Soon!

High School students interested in a career in the construction industry attended Build My Future Southeast. Students participated in hands-on demonstrations and received school and apprenticeship information from over 20 businesses.

WMS students proudly honor their school, community, and country. These 8th graders accepted the duty and tradition of flag duty. This year, we were honored to have a new US and MO flag donated from Rep. Rick Francis. Thank you to these students for doing a wonderful job!

Teacher "Shoutout" to Mrs. Tracy Harvey and Mrs. Renee Garner. These two work to make our Family Fun Nights a success! We are all so appreciative of their leadership and their enthusiasm in organizing these fabulous events for our students and parents .

JHBB will open their season tomorrow night at Greenville. This game was just added and will be played after the Woodland Lady Cardinals play Greenville at 5:00. The 7th grade boys will play at approximately 6:15 followed by the 8th grade boys. Good luck to all teams.

Senior Parents/Guardians,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jostens will NOT be on campus today to meet with students. However, they will be dropping off packets and the office will send an email with their information on ordering. If you have any questions please contact the High School office. Thanks! Jostens will be on campus Friday to take orders and answer any questions.

Mrs. Lelia Spaeth’s 6th grade science-minded students are tipping the scales of learning. They are exploring how a triple beam balance works by measuring different items from the classroom and home.

Lady Cardinals HSVB
For the purpose of giving our students an opportunity for greater academic success, while helping our opponents travel time, we’re adjusting Home starting times to 5:30 for these dates:
9/19 vs Dexter
9/20 vs Cape Central
9/22 vs M. H.
Go Lady Cardinals!

Mrs. Garner’s classes are “digging” into the novel, Holes, with their reading partners. They spent time reading together with guiding questions and can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the story!

Mrs. Koehler’s biology classes recently learned about properties of water. They completed a mini-lab called “Drops on a Penny” to examine the properties of cohesion and surface tension.

Students in Mr. Glaus’ 8th grade science class had a terrific time learning about the scientific method, independent and dependent variables, and how to set up a scientific experiment. Outdoor learning is fun!

As a part of the Woodland School District’s move to embrace the Leader in Me model, Ms. Killian and a group of students work together to write a mission statement.

Ms. Raines, 7th grade Social Studies, had a delightful time learning about landform features using "Play-Doh'' to mold their learning.
