
Woodland Families,
Woodland teachers are providing childcare again today from 8:00am - 5:30pm for volunteers and affected families. Caregivers will be Woodland staff assisted by older students. Meals and snacks will be provided. Children who are not currently enrolled at Woodland will need a parent or guardian present to fill out paperwork.
Children may be dropped off at the middle school doorway (entrance #3). Someone will register your child(ren) and walk them to the elementary classrooms where they will be providing care.
For those needing transportation, a Woodland school bus will be at the corner of ZZ/34 in Glen Allen at 8:00am and 12:00pm to pick up children in need of care. They will be transported to Woodland School where teachers and high school students will provide care. They will be returned to ZZ/34 at 4:30pm.

Woodland Families:
Laundry - SEMO Suds has their machines set to FREE for a several days. Laundry detergent is available. They are open 24/7 at both Lutesville and Marble Hill locations.
Monetary Donations - Monetary donations can be made at Peoples Community Bank and Bank of Missouri. This money will be distributed locally.
SNAP Benefits - Family support representatives are set up at the Marble Hill First Baptist Church if you need to apply for assistance or request replacement SNAP benefits for food lost in disaster.

We are very appreciative of all the support to our community. SEMA, Red Cross, and local Emergency Management are working together to meet the needs.
Food - The Woodland School District is offering meals and water at specific locations. There will be hot and cold meals, water, and sanitation supplies.

Donations - Please deliver all donations to the First Baptist Church of Marble Hill.
Lost and Found - Lost and Found items will be available for pick up on Tuesday, April 11 at the Lighthouse United (Old Library).

ALL Woodland athletic events for today, April 6th, have been cancelled. Make-up dates will be updated when known.

District Update: Disaster relief services are being hosted at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Marble Hill. This includes: Red Cross, Salvation Army, EMAA, and other disaster relief support services.

Correction: The Woodland School District will not be in session on Thursday, April 6. We are giving early notice so everyone can make alternative plans. We will be back in session hopefully next week Wednesday April 12th.

The Woodland School District will be closed today, Wednesday, April 4, due to storm damage to the community. Please stay safe as more storms are forecasted to arrive later today. The district facilities are currently being utilized as a staging area for emergency services. Please try to avoid the campus until we establish secondary services to the community. We will try to keep everyone informed as information becomes available. Thank you and thoughts and prayers for the community.

On March 31, high school students interested in pursuing a career in education participated in Teacher Day at Southeast Missouri State University. Students toured the campus and learned about the College of Education. #CardinalPride





Please join us TONIGHT from 4-8pm at the Marble Hill McDonalds for McTeacher Night! A percentage of the night's proceeds will go to Woodland School District. The classroom/Advisory in each building with the highest number of votes will receive a McFlurry Party! Preschool and Elementary aged students who bring in the completed coloring sheet will receive a free cookie during the event.

The Woodland School District will dismiss early today at 1:30 PM due to impending weather. All afterschool activities will be canceled. Stay safe this evening.

Mrs. Gray’s Library Club members sponsored a Valentine’s Day reading promotion called “Blind Date with a Book''. Club members helped prepare “blind date books” by wrapping them in brown paper and writing a few clues on tags attached to the fronts. Students who check out a mystery book are encouraged to “rate their date” on the enclosed raffle ticket after reading the first few chapters. Completed raffle tickets were then entered in a drawing for a prize. This year's winners were:
7th/8th Grade: Abigail Dennis won a Valentine's bag of treats
High School: Chloe Green won a gift certificate to 573 Coffee House

HS Baseball vs Greenville at Woodland and JH Baseball at East Prairie have been canceled for today. Makeup dates will be announced later if possible.

Woodland Middle School celebrated students receiving third quarter awards at an assembly yesterday. WMS students continue to practice leadership skills by presenting awards and encouraging kindness at the assembly. Go WMS!


Woodland's last scholarship blood drive for the 2022-23 school year will be held Monday, April 10 at Creekside Fellowship Church.

Calendar Update: Based on our current status of missed days due to weather and construction, we have submitted our attendance hours to DESE have received a determination. The Woodland R-IV School District will not have to modify the current calendar for the 2022-2023 school year at this time. Barring any additional missed days, the last day of attendance will be May 19, 2023. Thank you
