
Woodland R-IV School District schedule change for May 8-11: To make up time missed during the recent storms, the District will extend the school day by 10 minutes next week Monday-Thursday. This will complete the school calendar with an acceptable amount of hours for the 2022-2023 school year.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12. Everyone is invited to dress up in honor of our amazing Woodland Teachers!


The Woodland Drama Club is presenting "The Cacophony" on Friday, May 5 at 7:00pm in the High School Gym. It is a complication of serious and dramatic performances and recommended for 13+. Entry is $2.00 at the door.


Congratulations to Mrs. DeWitt. She is the recipient of the Dollar General 2022 Youth Literacy Grant. The Dollar General grant was used to purchase reading book sets to be utilized for small reading groups in Woodland's 4th through 6th grade classrooms. Senior Lane VanGennip has decided to attend Lyons College in Batesville, Arkansas to pursue a career in engineering. Lane also signed his letter of intent to play college baseball for Lyons College. Woodland High School participated in the Black River Electric Cooperative Essay and Speech Competition. Chazidy Quintana placed first and received an all expenses paid trip to Washington, DC. Andrew Sitze placed second and received an all expenses paid trip to Jefferson City. #CardinalPride

The Woodland R-IV School District will be back in session starting Wednesday, April 12, 2023. The staff will be meeting tomorrow to make arrangements for any changes due to the areas effected in the District. In addition, the Woodland School Board Meeting for the month of April has been rescheduled for Monday April 17, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.

The April School Board Meeting to be held on April 10, 2023 will be postponed with a makeup date to be determined at this point. We will assess the management processes necessary to host the meeting and send out a notification of the make up date as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

The Mayor's Easter Egg Hunt has been rescheduled.


Woodland Families,
Woodland teachers are providing childcare again today from 8:00am - 5:30pm for volunteers and affected families. Caregivers will be Woodland staff assisted by older students. Meals and snacks will be provided. Children who are not currently enrolled at Woodland will need a parent or guardian present to fill out paperwork.
Children may be dropped off at the middle school doorway (entrance #3). Someone will register your child(ren) and walk them to the elementary classrooms where they will be providing care.
For those needing transportation, a Woodland school bus will be at the corner of ZZ/34 in Glen Allen at 8:00am and 12:00pm to pick up children in need of care. They will be transported to Woodland School where teachers and high school students will provide care. They will be returned to ZZ/34 at 4:30pm.

Woodland Families:
Laundry - SEMO Suds has their machines set to FREE for a several days. Laundry detergent is available. They are open 24/7 at both Lutesville and Marble Hill locations.
Monetary Donations - Monetary donations can be made at Peoples Community Bank and Bank of Missouri. This money will be distributed locally.
SNAP Benefits - Family support representatives are set up at the Marble Hill First Baptist Church if you need to apply for assistance or request replacement SNAP benefits for food lost in disaster.
