Woodland School District Safety Update for Friday September 13, 2024:
The Woodland School District would like to thank the Bollinger County Sheriff's Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol for being on sight today to work with the District to provide safety measures for the students and staff. At this time, law enforcement is still actively investigating the social media threat of violence against the District. The Woodland School District will continue to communicate updates as they become available. We do appreciate the communications from parents to the building principals and we hope future concerns can be resolved through these channels.
Woodland R-IV School Safety Update:
Public schools across the nation have been made aware of a social media threat of violence today against the students and staff of public school districts. Social media threats against the Woodland School District have been posted on the social media platform TikTok and have been viewed, shared, and reposted over the past 24 hours. The district is taking the threat seriously and will continue to investigate the situation and provide updates when they are available. Building administration will be available tomorrow morning to answer any questions or concerns .

Shirt Order Form
Woodland’s Leader in Me district program is selling “Cardinal Leader” shirts to raise money for each building's students. The money will go towards activities and programs for all students to promote healthy habits and give each child the tools to reach their full potential. We are inviting all students, families, staff and community members to be a part of this! You can send cash or a check with an order form to any school office or your child's teacher.

Attention! Yearbooks will come home with students tomorrow, Friday August 23. If you purchased and are no longer at the school, you are welcome to come by the high school office anytime to pick up your book. There are extras available to purchase for $45. Reminder: Saturday , Aug. 3 to Sunday, Aug. 11 is Athletic Dead Week. Per MSHSAA guidelines, students are not to utilize the school facilities including the track, outdoor fields, gym, or weight room and are to have no contact with coaches. Tryouts/practices begin Aug 12, 2024.

Early Dismissal on Friday May 17th: The Woodland R-IV School District has changed the calendar for the last day of school to allow staff to wrap up management activities in the buildings on Friday. We will go through early dismissal at 1:00 PM. Sorry for the short notice but we hope the students and staff have a safe and eventful summer!

Woodland High School was gifted three 15 gallon trees from the Missouri Department of Conservation and 15 other 3-5 gallon trees and shrubs from a Non-Profit Organization called "releaf". The MDC regional forestry representative, Jennifer Behnken, and her assistant Jonathan, brought mulch and shovels and taught students how to plant and care for trees. The trees and shrubs were planted throughout the school grounds with many placed in front of the school buildings.
