Rylee Kay Cureton was born on February 9, 2005. She is the daughter of Lacie and Greg Davis and Sasha and Jason Cureton. Rylee has nine siblings: Jason, Tyler, Jacob, Emerson, Elliot, Syler, Blair, Amiya, and Kyson. She is involved in Beta, Student Council, FFA, FCCLA, Art Club, Pep Club, FCA, Yearbook, and softball. Three words to describe Rylee are loud, outgoing, and forthright. When she was younger, Rylee wanted to become a teacher. She now plans to attend Missouri State University to major in Early Childhood Education.
The teachers who have had the biggest impact on Rylee are “Ridings for always telling me how it is when I have a problem, Lotte for always eating lunch with me, Braswell and Stegeman for caring about my well-being.” If Rylee could travel anywhere, she would choose Bora Bora to live in a hut on the water. Rylee’s favorite high school memory is tied between the FFA field trip when Braidyn fell out of a canoe. As well as, when she threw chicken strips at her roommates during the beta trip.
Rylee’s advice to underclassmen is, “Be yourself and do not live your life for someone else. Be you and don't care about what others think of you. It is your life. Own it.” The things she will miss most about high school are after every dance, going bowling and to Huddle House at 3am with Joey, Presley, and Harley. When asked about graduating, Rylee says she is excited to move onto the next chapter and start her life in the real world. Her biggest accomplishment this year is finding a good college and roommate. The people who have had the greatest impact on Rylee’s life are her mom’s. “My mom, Lacie, has always been there to put me in my place the second I step out of it. She is the strongest person I know. My mom and as well as my stepmom, Sasha, have been my shoulders to cry on, my rocks, and my absolute best friends and I have been blessed to have the greatest moms.”
