Picture of Evan Harper

Evan Cole Harper was born on July 9, 2005. He is the son of Cari Noel and Joseph Harper. He has two siblings, Alexander and Heidi Harper. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Stegeman. “Throughout my 3 years here she was the only one who saw me struggling and wondered why I was, and the only one who tried talking with me about it.” His friends say three words that describe him are mysterious, intriguing, and funny. When asked if he could travel anywhere in the world where would it be he says, “Ireland, I want to end up spending my life there; in a cabin, in the woods.”

When Evan was younger, he wanted to be a Quantum physicist, now he plans to attend SEMO and study abroad in Ireland to receive a small degree for store ownership and management. His favorite High School memory is playing Among Us with the entire advisory for about three weeks as soon as I moved here. He says that his most embarrassing high school memory is “At a lunch table given the nicknames “Mike” and “Nate” because no one knew my name.” The thing he will miss most about high school is the people I got to meet and learn about, as well as all the activities/memories that classes provided.

When asked his thoughts about graduating, Evan says “I feel scared that once I get out of High School, I won’t know how to start the rest of my life, because while I was in high school I had today and tomorrow already planned for me but knowing how I want my life to go afterwards keeps me looking forward. I feel ready.” His advice to underclassmen is “To make it through; do your best, not your hardest.” His biggest accomplishment is passing trigonometry. The person who has had the greatest influence on his life is Mrs. Stegeman. “She gave me the mindset needed to rest through summer break and come back ready to finish this year right.”

Evan would like to give a shoutout to Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Gray, Mr. Randecker, Mrs. Layton, Mrs. Braswell, Drey Bazzell, Anna Jordan, Ciara Sear, Gracie Bowman, Annie Riddle, Benny Riddle, Jaleigh Lindsey, and Joey Pinkard.
