Ciara Haleigh Sear was born July 2, 2004. She is the daughter of Kimberly Sear and the late Gerald Sear. She has one sibling, Jeremiah Sear. Ciara is involved in Band and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Newell, “She has helped me through so many hard times, and we have had so many great conversations.” Her favorite staff quote is from Mr. Ridings, “You’re all knuckle heads, but I love you guys.” Three words that Ciara would use to describe herself are sporadic, compassionate, and passionate.

If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose Scotland because of the beautiful castles, rich history, and amazing stories. Her favorite high school memory is all the times she fell with her friends in the woods. Her most embarrassing memory was her sophomore year when she waved at Mr. Ridings, but he was waving at the person behind her. When Ciara was a child, she wanted to be a singer, she now plans on going on an 18-month mission trip for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her advice to her underclassmen, “Do all you can now before you grow up.” When asked her thoughts about graduating, she said she’s ready to start this new chapter in her life, “I feel like everything I’ve dreamt of since I was a kid is about to come true and I can almost touch it but it’s still so far away.”

The thing she will miss most about high school is being able to socialize everyday with her friends. The person who has had the greatest influence on her life is her dad. He taught her that there is more to life than just living day by day. He told her to take adventures while she is still young, and love comes in many different forms. “He taught me how to build a testimony by just looking at the simple things in life. Gods work is greater than we know, and we all have a purpose and a plan.” Some of her biggest accomplishments are winning first in band sophomore year and not letting her father’s death define her and being able to stay strong through her lowest moments.

Ciara would like to give her shout outs to, “Mom, Dad, Jeremiah, Drey Bazzell, Evan Harper, Anna Jordan, Gracie Bowman, and my church and family.”
