Courtney Danielle Smith was born January 15, 2004. She is the daughter of Bridget Skaggs and Justin Smith. She has two siblings: Shain Smith and Braylen Coleman. Courtney is involved in the Woodland Choir. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Balzer, yellow is her favorite color, and Taco salad is her favorite food. When Courtney was younger, she wanted to be a writer, after graduation she plans on going to Iowa Wesleyan University to study for a BA in Psychology.
Her favorite high school memory is after school tutoring with Elfrink and her friends. She recalls her most embarrassing memory was falling in P.E. every other day. The thing she will miss most about high school is seeing all her friends every day. When asked about her thoughts about graduating, Courtney said she is terrified, but excited. Her advice to underclassmen is “Don't be afraid to make new friends or try new things! Just by talking to someone I normally wouldn't, I've made some of my best friends.” Her biggest accomplishment is getting into one of her top universities. The person who has had the most influence on her life is her mom. “She is an amazing parent and has raised me to work hard and be kind to others.”
