Chloe Suzanne Goodwin was born on March 6th, 2004 to James Goodwin and Angela Self-Goodwin. She has one sibling, Connor Goodwin. Chloe is a member of FFA, FCCLA, Pep Club, and the President of the Beta Club. She is also a member of the volleyball, basketball, and softball teams. Chloe’s favorite color is pink and favorite food is avocados. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Braswell, Mr. Ridings, and Mr. Layton.
While growing up, Chloe wanted to become a veterinarian, she now plans to attend Rend Lake College on a volleyball scholarship to major in Nursing. When asked about graduating, Chloe stated she is excited to see where her future takes her but will definitely miss the friends she’s bonded with her whole life and will miss hearing Mr. Layton’s life lessons and seeing her friends and teachers every day. Her favorite high school memory is winning the spirit stick all four years, as well as taking home the first ever girls’ basketball district championship plaque. While her most embarrassing memory is when she tripped down the bleachers in the high school gym with a bag of popcorn in her hands. Chloe’s biggest accomplishment is having a high-grade point average on top of playing sports.
The person who has had the greatest impact on her life is her grandpa. “He has always been my best friend, guiding me, teaching me, and giving me strength every step of the way. I would not be the person I am today without him.'' Her advice to underclassmen is to not compare yourself to others. Instead of looking at others’ progress, ask yourself where you want to be and what you aspire to be.
