Picture of Samantha Cornman

Samantha Kaylee Cornman was born November 6, 2003. She is the daughter of Linda and Mitch Cornman. She has four siblings, Brett, Kyle, Mckenzie, and Rosalind. Samantha is President of the library Club, Vice President of the Art Club and involved in FCCLA. She is also a part of the Track team. Her favorite teachers are Mr. Randecker, Mrs. Gray, and Mrs. Hinkle. Her favorite color is Maroon and favorite food is any kind of soup.

When Samantha was younger, she wanted to work at Petco, she now plans to go to college and major in psychology, then further her education and become a psychiatrist.

One of Samantha's favorite high school memories is going to Rafe Johnson’s place after school and hanging out with friends. One of her most embarrassing high school memories is quitting track sophomore year then school being shut down for Covid a week later. The thing she will miss the most about high school is complaining to Mr. Randecker at the start of the day and talking to Mrs. Hinkle about life problems at the end of the day. Samantha also says, “I will especially miss seeing all of the people I've become friends with throughout the years.”

Samantha says she feels bittersweet about graduating. She says she is happy to get out of this small town and go on to bigger and better achievements especially when it comes to majoring in psychology but will miss the community of people she has bonded with through her entire life. Her advice to younger classmen is “Don't try to impress everyone to be popular. Be your true authentic self and be friends with the people you like and who actually enjoy you.”

The person who has had the greatest influence on her is her mom. “She has been through many struggles on her own but has gotten through every single one. She is one of the strongest people I know, and she inspires me to be just as strong.” Her biggest accomplishment so far is overcoming mental challenges and obstacles in life and becoming a stronger person because of it.
