Picture of Zaiden Vawter

Zaiden Alese Vawter was born on July 8, 2003. She is the daughter of Joshua and Jamie Vawter. She has eight siblings Cortland, Delaney, Hayley, Kylee, Owen, Hannah, Elijah, and Silas Vawter as well as her “bonus sisters” Denyce, Karin, Paige-Lee, and Isabel Harper. Zaiden is involved in Beta, FCCLA, FCA, and FBLA. She is also a member of the Woodland Track and Field team. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Layton, favorite food is lasagna, and her favorite color is blue.

When Zaiden was growing up she wanted to be a stay at home mom, she now plans to attend college and become a teacher. Her biggest accomplishment has been completing a sunset on the ocean fiber arts project and winning fourth at beta nationals. Zaiden’s favorite high school memory is eating lunch everyday junior year in Mrs. Hinkle’s room with her friends. Her most embarrassing moment is when she was hit with a chicken patty by the “Chicken Strip Gang.” When asked how she felt about graduating, Zaiden said she has mixed feelings about graduating. She is excited to move on to the next step in her life, but also sad to be moving on from this part of her life. What she will miss most is the community of people she’s grown close to and seen almost every day.

Her mom has had the biggest impact on Zaiden’s life for she has gone through so much in her life and is a great person, most of all she has taught Zaiden the importance of leaning on the Lord through all struggles.

Her advice to underclassmen is to enjoy every second of high school because it will be over before you know it. Zaiden would like to give a shoutout to Mrs. Layton, Mr. James, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Hinkle, Delaney and Hannah, her parents, and Laura Harper.
