Raimee Renea Hastings was born on April 6, 2009, to parents Denise and Tim Hastings. She has two siblings, Karsyn and Brayden. Raimee’s favorite teacher is Mr. Mills. “He is so sweet and always super funny. He always makes class so fun, and he’s very understanding and a good listener.” Three words she would use to describe herself are energetic, outspoken, and bubbly. If Raimee could travel anywhere in the world, she would go to Paris. “I would love to try different kinds of food, see the Eiffel Tower, and just explore a new country.” Her favorite school memory is running out of gas in the middle of the turning lane while trying to pull into school. When Raimee was a child, she wanted to be Ariel when she grew up. After high school, she plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University to study diagnostic medical sonography and pursue a career as an ultrasound technician. Raimee is involved in FFA and Pep Club and participates in basketball. Her advice to underclassmen is, “Stand your ground and don’t let people walk all over you.”

Raimee is excited to graduate and start a new chapter in her life, but she is also nervous. She is especially sad to leave all of the underclassmen. She will miss annoying the teachers, having a routine of coming to school every day, laughing with her friends, making all of the dumb memories along the way, and seeing all of her teachers. Raimee’s greatest influences are her parents. “They’ve always been there for me, showing up to my games, coming to school events, and always being by my side through everything. My mom is loving, and she has such a big heart. She supports every decision I make and guides me through tough situations that go on in my life. She is my forever best friend, and I would choose her as my mom in every lifetime. My dad is my biggest supporter and is always willing to help anyone who needs it. He is very caring, and he has done so much for me. I’m glad to call him my dad.” Raimee’s biggest accomplishment in high school has been gaining confidence in basketball and scoring more than 20 points for the first time in her life. Ever since she started playing basketball, she was afraid to shoot and never had the confidence to do it. She is proud that she was finally able to overcome that fear.
