Kamren

Kamren McCormick was born on November 23, 2007, to Kent and Alisha McCormick. He has two siblings, Kynlee and Hattie. Kamren’s favorite teacher is Mr. Ridings because “he believed in me and always made everything we did fun.” Three words that describe him are charismatic, considerate, and hardworking. If Kamren could travel anywhere in the world, he would visit the Grand Tetons, saying, “that would be awesome.” His favorite school memory is putting Drew on the roof during Mrs. Stegeman’s class to retrieve a ball. His most embarrassing moment came his senior year when he completely flipped over in a reclining chair in Mrs. Stegeman’s room.

As a child, Kamren dreamed of becoming an NBA player. After high school, he plans to attend Mineral Area College to compete in track and field while studying biology. He is involved in FFA, Beta, and FCA, and participates in both basketball and track and field. His advice to underclassmen is, “Work hard, but don’t take everything too seriously. You only get to be in high school with your friends one time.” Kamren is excited to graduate because he gets to start something new and different. What he will miss most is the people. Kamren says the people who have had the greatest influence on him are his parents: “They taught me that the most important thing is to be a good person, even if you get nothing in return.” He considers his greatest accomplishment to be his junior year basketball season, when his team made it to the Final Four for the first time in school history.
