Benjamin Talley was born on December 6, 2007, to parents Joshua Talley, Jessica Lape, and Chris Lape. He has three siblings: Shaina, Emmett, and Kodi. Ben’s favorite teacher is Mr. Ridings because, as he says, “I enjoy working with him, and he’s a good mentor.” Three words he would use to describe himself are strong, encouraging, and helpful. If Ben could travel anywhere in the world, he would visit Scotland because “it’s a really beautiful place.” His favorite school memory is going to State in track and field.
As a child, Ben wanted to become a forklift operator. After high school, Ben plans to become a firefighter/paramedic. He has been involved in FFA and participates in track and field. When asked about graduating, he says, “It’s not happening fast enough.” After graduation, he will miss his friends and teachers. His greatest influence has been Calvin Troxell, whom he looks up to as “a wise mentor and a strong leader” in his life. Ben’s biggest accomplishments include earning his Fire I and Fire II certifications, as well as Hazmat Operations and Hazmat Awareness certifications.
