Elijah Vawter was born on March 7, 2008, to Jamie and Joshua Vawter. He has eight siblings: Hannah, Zaiden, Silas, Cortland, Owen, Delaney, Kylee, and Hailey. Eli’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Balzer because, as he says, “she is the only teacher who actually understands what school is like.” He would describe himself as happy, athletic, and caring. If Eli could travel anywhere in the world, he would choose Iceland because he thinks it is very beautiful. His favorite school memory is participating in track and field, especially pole vault. His most embarrassing moment in high school was breaking his arm on a bounce house during his freshman year.
As a child, Eli dreamed of being rich. After high school, he plans to enter the workforce to make money so he can “have freedom.” He is involved in FCA and Pep Club and participates in track and field. Eli’s advice to underclassmen is simple: “Don’t be dumb.” When asked how he feels about graduating, he says, “It is finally almost over.” After graduation, he will miss Mrs. Balzer and Mr. Ridings the most. The person who has had the greatest influence on Eli is his dad, who motivates him to work hard in life. Eli considers his biggest accomplishment so far to be making it close to graduation.
Shoutouts: My sisters, my parents, my little brother, Coach Dona, and the boys.
