Wyatt Roark was born on April 3, 2008, to parents Lindsay and Rennard Roark and grandparents Mike and Cindi Morris. He has three siblings: Weston, Ally, and Audrey Roark. During high school, Wyatt participated in FBLA and Speech and is currently involved in a work program. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Stegeman, “for always putting up with my crap and teaching me how to talk good.” Wyatt describes himself as creative, funny, and aggravating. If he could travel anywhere in the world, he would choose Iceland to learn more about Leif Erikson, Thorfinn Karlsefni, and Viking expansion. His favorite high school memory is making a ruckus with his table in Mrs. P’s biology class. On the other hand, his most embarrassing moment happened when he ripped his pants at Winter Formal.
When he was younger, Wyatt dreamed of becoming an author. He is now working in the concrete industry. His advice to underclassmen is simple: “Quit acting like big shots, shut up, and do your work.” Although he will miss seeing his friends, Mrs. Stegeman, and Mrs. Balzer, he is ready for graduation. Wyatt considers finishing school, obtaining his GED, and learning how to be an adult at an early age among his greatest accomplishments. He also credits Mrs. Balzer as one of his biggest influences for teaching him that not everything needs to be treated like it’s the end of the world.
