Inty McCormick was born on October 26, 2007, to Sharon Holkko and Bryan McCormick. She has one sibling, Joe McCormick. Inty’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Layton because “she’s always been there for me. She’s kind and just an amazing teacher.” In three words, Inty describes herself as kind, strong-willed, and hardworking. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose Iceland because of its incredible natural beauty. One of her favorite school memories was attending Jackson Band Fest, where she had an absolute blast. Her most embarrassing school moment happened when she misspelled the word “people” as “pepole.”
As a child, Inty dreamed of becoming a teacher, but her plans have since changed. She now hopes to attend SEMO to study criminology. Inty has been involved in Beta, Drama, and Track and Field throughout high school. Her advice to underclassmen is simple: “Do your work and try your best, even if it seems impossible.” While she feels both excited and nervous about graduation, she knows she will miss her teachers and friends the most. The greatest influence in Inty’s life has been her mom because “she’s my rock, and I don’t know what I’d do without her.” She considers one of her greatest accomplishments to be placing in the top nine of the BREC Essay Competition.
