Dillard Englehart was born on December 13, 2007, to Becky and Trey Wiginton. He has two siblings, Celesse and Cody Breton. Dillard is involved in FCCLA and Beta Club. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Lotte Johnson because “she made me laugh and always lifted my spirit.” Dillard describes himself as fun, outgoing, and empathetic. If he could travel anywhere in the world, he would choose the Bahamas because of his love for the beach. His favorite high school memory is when Mr. V offered him $10 to stay quiet for an entire class—and he actually earned it. His most embarrassing moment, however, was slipping in pineapple juice during lunch and accidentally doing the splits.
As a child, Dillard dreamed of becoming a doctor. Today, he is studying at Cape Career and Technology Center to earn his LPN. He plans to continue his education by earning his RN, BSN, and eventually becoming a Nurse Practitioner. His advice to underclassmen is, “Work hard, have fun, don’t forget to talk, and don’t get on Mrs. Braswell’s bad side.” While Dillard will miss talking with Mrs. Booth and Mrs. Lowes, he is excited to graduate and move forward with his future. He considers working in healthcare at 17, being accepted into nursing school, and earning his L1MA as his greatest accomplishments. Dillard credits his parents and sister as his biggest influences for always supporting him—and his impulse shopping habits.
