Jackson Shock was born on August 23, 2007. He is the son of Bethany Cox and Gandy Wade and has three siblings: Norah, Cameron, and Connor. Throughout high school, Jackson has been involved in Pep Club and FCA and has participated in Basketball, Baseball, and Track. His favorite teacher is Mr. Stegeman, because of “his sense of humor,” and his favorite staff quote comes from Mr. Kinder: “Get to school on time!” If he could describe himself in three words, Jackson would choose intelligent, goofy, and open-minded. His favorite high school memory is going to the Final Four. If he could travel anywhere, Jackson would choose Italy, because “it’s beautiful.”
When he was younger, Jackson wanted to be a professional athlete. Now, he plans to study criminal justice. His advice to underclassmen: “Don’t be the person who starts drama.” Jackson says he feels ready to start a new chapter after graduation, though he doesn’t expect to miss much about high school. The person who has influenced him the most is Gandy, because “he taught me the things I never thought I would need to know.” His biggest accomplishment so far is qualifying for the state basketball tournament last year with his team.
Shoutouts: Nana, Bray, Ty, Mom, Gandy, Jagoda, and Connor
