Chloe Green was born on May 6, 2008, to Andrew and Penny Green. She is the oldest of five siblings: Kaitlyn, Karissa, Abigail, Andrew Lee, and Asher. Throughout high school, Chloe has been involved in band, choir, Drama Club, BETA, FBLA, and Library Club. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Balzer, because “She has always stuck with me and encouraged me to be the best version of myself, even when it felt like no one cared.” Chloe describes herself as creative, musical, and hardworking. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose Greece so she could try the local food and explore its rich history. One of her favorite memories is getting unexpectedly pelted with water balloons during Band Camp her junior year, after her friend Khloe Simmons tricked her into becoming the target. On the other hand, she still laughs (and cringes) about her most embarrassing moment: accidentally pronouncing “missile” in an overly British accent while leading the band—a moment she says she still hasn’t lived down.
As a child, Chloe dreamed of becoming a singer, but today she plans to pursue a degree in Music Education at Missouri Baptist University. After graduating, she hopes to teach high school band. To underclassmen, she offers this advice: “Do the tough stuff, even if it’s hard. You’ll survive and come out a stronger person in the end.” When asked how she feels about graduation, Chloe says she is both excited and relieved to have made it through high school. She names her vocal teacher, Mrs. Dudley, as her greatest influence, describing her as someone who always listens, encourages, and inspires her to grow as a musician. Chloe considers being drum major—and everything she accomplished in that position—to be her proudest achievement so far.
Shoutouts: Mom, Dad, my siblings, Mrs. Dudley, Khloe Simmons, Mrs. Balzer, Mrs. Stegman, Mrs. Braswell, my church family, and all my friends.
