Destinee Pierre was born to Michele Siggers and Jeremiah Siggers on April 8, 2008. She has four siblings: Karson Pierre, Terri Siggers, Charli Siggers, and Melodie Siggers. Destinee is involved in the Pep Club. Her favorite teacher, Mrs. Balzer, holds a special place in her heart because, as Destinee says, “She has always been there for me and always seen the best in me.” Destinee describes herself as driven, compassionate, and quiet. If Destinee could travel anywhere, she would choose Japan, drawn by its calm atmosphere and beautiful scenery. She is also eager to try authentic sushi. Among her favorite high school memories are all the family days in Mrs. Balzer’s advisory. Her most embarrassing moment was having to wear her criminal justice uniform around school and being seen by other students.
As a child, Destinee dreamed of being a police officer. Now, she plans to attend SEMO to study psychology with the hopes of pursuing a career in forensic psychology. To underclassmen, she offers this advice: “Do your work and mind your business.” While she will miss some of the teachers within the school, she is ready to graduate and feels a mix of excitement and fear around it. She names her mom and little sister, Mel, as her greatest influences due to their encouragement and love. Destinee considers keeping her grades up and earning a high enough score on her ACT to have her dual credit classes paid for as her biggest accomplishment to date.
