Aubrey Senior Pic

Aubrey Rayshelle Louise Wood was born on April 30th, 2008, to Matthew Wood and Kristy Scharr. She has six siblings: Trevor, Kaden, Connor, Carson, Paislee, and Blakely. Aubrey’s favorite teacher is Mr. Shrum because she feels he is easy to talk to and he is always there for her. Three words Aubrey would use to describe herself are caring, inspiring, and full of life. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose China because, as she says, “They gotta have good Chinese food and I love Chinese food.” Reflecting on her time in high school, Aubrey’s favorite memory is coming to school and having the opportunity to cadet teach for ⅗ of her hours during her entire senior year.

When she was a child, Aubrey dreamed of being a teacher. Over time, her ambitions evolved, and after high school, she plans to attend college at MAC to pursue a career as a pediatric nurse. Aubrey’s advice to underclassmen is always to be kind, treat others the way you want to be treated, follow your dreams, and get up and don’t give up (Stetson Thele). As graduation approaches, Aubrey shares, “I’m ready to tackle the real world and be the adult my parents raised me to be.” She knows she will miss the staff and seeing her friends daily. The person who has had the greatest influence on Aubrey is her older brother, Trevor, whom she has always looked up to. She feels her biggest accomplishment so far has been making it through high school because, as she puts it, “it’s been a difficult journey.”
