Chloe senior spotlight

Chloe Bailey was born on February 24th, 2008, to Joseph Stause and Heather Kirkpatrick. She is one of nine siblings: Layla, Aarron, Tristan, Kaydence, Paisley, Iziaha, Adam, and Gracie. Chloe’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Balzer because “she has always encouraged and believed in her when things got rough.” Her favorite staff quote comes from Officer Jensen: “Chloe, you're here! And not late.” In three words, Chloe describes herself as funny, outspoken, and caring. If she could visit anywhere in the world, she would travel to London because it’s beautiful and she loves the rain. Chloe’s favorite school memory is watching Andy try to jump the graveyard fence and falling. Her most embarrassing school memory is accidentally tripping Aaron Stewart in the lunchroom.

When Chloe was a child, she wanted to become a nurse so she could help people. After high school, she plans to attend Mac or SEMO to obtain an associate's degree in business communications. Chloe advises underclassmen: “Do your work. It might not seem important now, but when you're a senior applying for college and they ask why your grades are bad, you're going to regret it.” She is scared to graduate, but she's ready. She will miss seeing her friends and her favorite teachers every day. Chloe states that her greatest influence is her dad because “even though he’s been tough on me sometimes, he’s always been there when I needed him and encouraged me to do something with my life.” Chloe feels her biggest accomplishment is making it through her sophomore year summer.
