Lily Barker was born on January 26, 2008, to Debra and James Barker. Some of her siblings are Phillip, Sarah, Ryan, Jazmine, and Juliet. Lily’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Kinder because “she was always nice to me and was kind of like my school mom.” Three words she would use to describe herself are friendly, passionate, and an animal person. If Lily could travel anywhere in the world, it would be a little bit of everywhere. Her favorite school memories were sneaking into photos when other students were planting the trees out front, playing games on Miss Prasanphanich’s and Mr. Shrum’s whiteboards, and going outside behind the school with the other band kids. Lily says her most embarrassing school memory is the first day of high school, when she accidentally entered the boys' bathroom and had to wait to leave until everyone left and the lights went off.
When Lily was young, she wanted to be either an artist or a Minecraft YouTuber. After high school, she wants to create her own game or go to SEMO for acting. Lily is involved in Drama Club, S.A.D.D., and Library Club. Her advice to younger classmen: “Stand up for yourself and ask for help, even if it’s super embarrassing. It’s worth it in the long run.” She feels nervous about graduating, and she will miss Mrs. Balzer and the Drama Club the most. The person who has had the greatest influence on her is her mom because she’s always there for her to talk to, and she doesn’t make fun of her. Lily feels her greatest accomplishment is having a major character’s part in a play.
