Picture of Skyler

Skyler Mae Hinkle was born on April 23, 2007, to Stacie and Matt Hinkle. She has two sisters, Harlie and Payten Hinkle. Skyler's favorite teacher is Mr. Shrum because he always stands up for what is right, regardless of hierarchy. A memorable quote from Mr. Shrum that has stuck with her throughout high school is, “Trust the awesomeness.” Three words that describe Skyler are ambitious, driven, and stubborn. If she could travel anywhere in the world, it would be Milan, Italy, because of the fashion and amazing cuisine. One of her favorite school memories is riding the CTC bus during her junior year with Lindsey, Kaida, and Eli. Conversely, her most embarrassing moment was walking back to class after the entire freshman class got in trouble with the principal.

As a child, Skyler wanted to be either a fashion designer or a baker. However, she now plans to take a gap year to work before returning to college for her general studies. Skyler is involved in several clubs, including Beta Club, Pep Club, NTHS, and Skills USA. Her advice to underclassmen is: “Don't let how others treat you dictate your actions; they aren't worth your breath." Skyler feels excited to graduate, though she will miss her friends. The person who has had the greatest influence on her is her great-grandma, Patsy Lukefahr, because she is an independent woman who manages most challenges on her own and has taught Skyler to love sewing and baking. Skyler's biggest accomplishment is making it to state for Skills USA.
