Macie Grindstaff Senior Picture

Macie Ruthann Grindstaff was born on October 29, 2004. Her parents are Bj and Mike Grindstaff. Macie’s siblings are Andrew, Ben, Evan, Mara, and Tommy. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Shrum, and her favorite staff quote comes from Mr. Layton, “The cardinal is a very fierce bird”. Three words Macie would use to describe herself are determined, passionate, and encouraging. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would travel to Italy to see all its beauties. Her favorite school memory is being selected to attend state for SkillsUSA. When Macie was younger, she wanted to be a teacher, she now plans to get nail tech certified and attend Mineral Area College to further her education in TV and broadcasting. She is involved in BETA, FCCLA, FCA, FBLA, National Honors Society of High School Scholars, a student ambassador for CTC, cross country, cheer, and track.

Macie’s advice to underclassmen is “Be true to yourself, time is too short to get caught up in drama, high school will be gone before you know it.” When asked how she feels about graduating she said, “I’m excited and ready to start a new chapter in my life, but I will miss my teachers and all of the memories I have made good and bad.” The person that has had the greatest influence on her is her mom, “She is the rock that has held us all together, I love you mom!” Macie feels her greatest accomplishment so far is being able to work through difficult situations and being able to attend CTC as well as SkillsUSA.
