Kailyn Grace Crites was born on May 11, 2006. Her parents are Eric and Amanda Crites. She has two siblings: Brooke and Garret. Kailyn is involved in FCCLA, FCA, and Pep Club. Three words that describe Kailyn are independent, mature, and tender-hearted. Her most embarrassing high school memory is, “When my car broke down in the middle of the school parking lot and I started crying.”
When Kailyn was a child, we wanted to be a teacher and will pursue this dream while attending Mineral Area College. She will get her Associate's Degree in child development and become a preschool teacher. She has bittersweet feelings about graduating but is ready to leave and go on to the next chapter of her life even though she will miss high school. Kailyn will miss seeing her friends every day and Mr. Boyer and Mr. Ridings advisory classes. Kailyn’s advice to underclassmen is, “High school flies by so fast. Enjoy every little thing you can. Get your work done, work hard, and enjoy your high school experience.” Kailyn feels her biggest accomplishment so far has been, “Making it through high school and keeping my grades up.”
