Woodland R-IV School District Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Plan

The Woodland R-IV School District has developed an Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) plan to support continued learning during times when school must be closed due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. This plan provides students with the opportunity to engage in educational activities remotely, helping to minimize disruptions to instruction and avoid extending the school year.

Approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Board of Education, Woodland R-IV’s AMI plan follows state guidelines to ensure that all students have access to quality, equitable instruction while learning from home. As permitted by Missouri law, the district is allowed to use up to 36 hours (approximately five days) of AMI before additional in-person hours must be added to the academic calendar.

Below, you will find information on student schedules and learning materials (if applicable) to be used during AMI days.
