This is my first year with Parents as Teachers, but I have been in education for 12 years. Over the past couple of years, early childhood education has really become my passion. Working with both new and experienced parents, along with their children, brings me a lot of joy and variety in my job. I still remember my own Parents as Teachers visits from when I was a child, and I hope to bring that excitement to families in my community. As a mother myself, I understand how busy life can get. Parents as Teachers provides a dedicated time to focus on a child's development, the interactions between a parent and child, and the overall well-being of the family. I have four children: a 2-year-old, 6-year-old twins, and a 9-year-old. When we’re not at school, you will most likely find our family at a sporting event or by the river.

Hello, I am Kim Sawyer.

I have been a part of the Woodland family for most of my life, as a student and as an educator.  I enjoy working with families and their children.  I have two adult children and a two year old granddaughter.  Plus one granddaughter on the way.  I enjoy being outside and the country life.
